Wilson Whitetail Ranch and Lodge Texas Quail Hunting (Wild Bob Whites)

Season: October – February

Our Texas Quail Hunting properties in Frio County have excellent native populations of wild Bob White Quail. Our habitat improvement program for Quail includes strips planted in native vegetation that benefit Quail and improve our Texas Quail Hunting by dispersing water sources and year round supplemental feeding. Our wingshooting guides have custom built Texas Quail Hunting style rigs and professionally trained pointers that can comfortably cover lots of country and offer exciting flushing coveys of Quail to hunt.

Texas Quail Hunting and Wingshooting

This is a 4 day/4 hunt/3 night Texas Quail Hunt for wild Quail that includes: 4 Quail Hunts conducted over 2 full days with 3 nights luxury lodging in double occupancy rooms, comfortable queen size beds, quality linens, separate climate control, a private bathroom, meals, airport transfers, bird cleaning, sporting clay or 5 stand target shooting.

Day 1: Texas hunting ranch arrival 3-4 PM, guest registration, orientation, 5 stand sporting clay warm up, appetizers, and gourmet dinning

Day 2: Gourmet Breakfast, morning Quail hunt, gourmet lunch, relax time or sporting clays, afternoon Quail hunt, appetizers, and gourmet dinner.

Day 3: Gourmet Breakfast, morning Quail hunt, gourmet lunch, relax time or sporting clays, afternoon Quail hunt, appetizers, and gourmet dinner.

Day 4: Continental breakfast and departure with birds cleaned and packaged

There is no minimum age when hunting with an adult and your non-resident bird TPWD hunting license is $125 ($6 for youths).

In/Out of state Wingshooting hunting license are available to buy at the lodge.

Texas Quail Hunt

All inclusive packages:
> 2 hunters - $2,100 per person
> 3 hunters - $1,600 per person

> Guided day hunt with no other services is $675 per person

Texas Upland Bird Hunting and Wingshooting

Available: September through April

For the Upland Game Bird Hunting enthusiast and for our hunters interested in more variety, the Wilson Whitetail Ranch and Lodge now offers healthy fast flushing Quail, Pheasant, and Chukar hunting practically year round with custom built hunting rigs, and professionally trained pointers.

Texas Upland Bird Hunt

This is a 4 day/4 hunt/3 night Texas Upland Bird Hunt that includes: 4 Hunts conducted over 2 full days with 3 nights luxury lodging in double occupancy rooms, comfortable queen size beds, quality linens, separate climate control, a private bathroom, meals, airport transfers, bird cleaning, sporting clay or 5 stand target shooting

There is no minimum age when hunting with an adult and your non-resident banded bird TPWD hunting license is $25.

Texas Dove Hunting and Wingshooting

Available: South Zone, September 20th - October 31st

For the Upland Game Bird Hunting enthusiast and for our hunters interested in more variety, the Wilson Whitetail Ranch and Lodge now offers healthy fast flushing Quail, Pheasant, and Chukar hunting practically year round with custom built hunting rigs, and professionally trained pointers.

Our Texas Dove Hunting area includes the counties of: Atascosa, Frio, LaSalle, Medina, and Uvalde and are host to the largest congregations of Dove in the U.S. As these Dove concentrate into food and water sources as well as roosts, our wing shooting guides scout daily to stay on top of migratory movements to ensure our hunters get the best wing shooting possible.

Texas Dove Hunt

This is a 3 day/3 hunt/2 night Texas Dove Hunt that includes: 3 days with 2 nights luxury lodging in double occupancy rooms, comfortable queen size beds, quality linens, separate climate control, a private bathroom, meals, airport transfers, bird cleaning, sporting clay or 5 stand target shooting

Day 1: Hunting Ranch arrival 1-2 PM, guest registration, orientation, 5 stand sporting clay warm up, afternoon hunt, appetizers, and gourmet dinning

Day 2: Gourmet Breakfast, Quail Box Bird Shoot, Gourmet lunch, relax time or sporting clays, afternoon hunt, appetizers, and gourmet dinner.

Day 3: Continental Breakfast, morning hunt, gourmet breakfast, departure with birds cleaned and packaged
